Toning and glazing allow Master Refinisher Lance Daniel Aulffo to reconcile uneven color, grain, age, and species variations revealed when entry doors are stripped. Drawing on refinishing, decorative-finishing, and color-theory experience, he develops custom stains, translucent tones, layered glazes, shading, and faux wood grain to unify disparate boards and architectural components while preserving visible grain, material character, depth, and age.
