WOOD WINDOW
RESTORATION
Re-View

Historic wood windows were designed to last for the life of the structure and often they can be restored to provide hundreds of years of performance while maintaining their original detail. Re-View has perfected the process of wood window restoration through years of experience and by investing heavily in facilities, equipment, materials, and people. The Re-View team has restored literally thousands of historic windows.

Re-View

Re-View came together back in 1993 when a group of associates in the window industry recognized there was a void in the historic window industry. The only players in the business were small, regional millwork shops with a dozen employees and less than 10,000 square feet of space. The large corporate window manufacturers had no interest in entering this specialty market niche because it contradicted their efforts for standardization. There seemed to be an immense opportunity for a company to engage in this industry in a professional manner with the right people, systems, equipment, and facilities.

Over the past 25 years, the owners of Re-View have worked with some of the largest window manufacturers in the United States in the aluminum, wood, and vinyl window sectors. This extensive background combined with our historic window restoration and manufacturing work, gives Re-View a unique perspective in the window business.

Over the past ten years, Re-View has grown from a small job shop to one of the largest manufacturers and restorers of historic wood and steel windows in the United States.

Stephen C. Marshall, LLC

Over the last 40 years, Stephen C. Marshall "The Historic House Guy", has repaired thousands of traditional double-hung wood windows. We perform expert restoration of fixed and double-hung wood window sashes from the 18th, 19th and early 20th centuries. We serve the state of Connecticut only. When our work is complete, your historic wood windows will operate like they did when new. They will raise smoothly, lock securely and be energy efficient. By installing high tech weather stripping and storm windows (interior or exterior), we will enable your historic windows to exceed the thermal performance of a modern replacement window. We can restore one window at a time, or those of an entire house, with minimum disruption to living spaces and routines. Should your project require incidental carpentry repairs or reproduction of historic millwork or window sashes, rest assured our long experience will enable us to provide sound, faithful work, identical to the originals. Your historic wood window sashes can work like new again. Call Stephen C. Marshalll, LLC "The Historic House Guy", and we'll talk about your traditional window restoration project.
